Singing really is good for you! Say Lewisham choir members:
There’s been a lot about singing in choirs on the TV lately. But did you know that Lewisham has a large, successful and vibrant choir? Lewisham Choral Society has been in existence for over fifty years and is as strong as ever, putting on four concerts a year in and around the Borough of Lewisham as well as joining in with many other musical events.
There are regularly around one hundred and fifteen people from all ages and backgrounds, all experiences and levels of musical ability who attend rehearsals every week.
I decided to ask members of this remarkable choir what makes then come along to rehearsals every Monday evening often after a hard days work, study or childcare, come rain or shine, and even pay for the privilege of doing so......
